Industrial/Organizational
Psychology Master’s Program
The master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology
includes:
- Completion of 42 credit hours of coursework
- Internship experience of 250 hours of supervised practice
in the field
- A Capstone Course that integrates theory and practice
over two semesters
- Comprehensive Examination covering major skill areas
- Thesis Option, recommended for students who plan to pursue
a Ph.D. in the field. (Other students may elect to take
two additional courses in Psychology or Business Administration.)
The program consists of graduate courses
that survey the broad range of applied industrial/organizational
psychology areas. The I/O program involves 42 credit hours,
36 of which are required course work hours completed through
the following curriculum:

- PYC 504 Advanced Research
- PYC 571 Test Construction
- PYC 572 Human Resource Assessment
- PYC 573 Ethical Issues in the Workplace

- PYC 575 Leadership Models
- PYC 576 Multicultural Issues
- PYC 579 Capstone Experience I
- PYC 588 Capstone Experience II
Students who elect to complete an additional
6 hours in place of a master’s thesis may select two
courses from the following possible elective courses:
